God is Good!
Happy New Year, Fam Bam!
Let me open this letter with a prayer for you:
May you see the goodness of God engulf your days this year. May you see it from the rising of the sun to the setting of the same. Amen and amen.
Earlier this week, I received a short audio snippet from the Worship Together gathering. I clicked to listen with the simple aim of judging its excellence, but as I listened, I was struck by how deeply it blessed me. It was the moment where we were singing Jenn Johnson’s Goodness of God. As I listened to it over and over, it washed through my mind until I could see God’s goodness as clear as day. I didn’t even realize my mind needed washing.
The weight of the workload I knew 2026 would bring had caused me to lose the rest I ought to have had. I had plans—to be better for God, for my family, for my church, and for myself—and I had unknowingly begun to crash under the weight of those expectations. I had forgotten something so important: God is so good.
In the context of the coming year (which we are now in), the goodness of God became very specific to me. It meant that whatever journey lay ahead, God was going to be with me—my present help; the giver of grace and mercy; the healer of my brokenness; the coach of my soul; the Shepherd who will not let me lack; El Roi, who opens my eyes to see the well when I feel like I am about to die of thirst.
See! My speech changed.
Before, I would say, “There’s so much I have to do in 2026,” then let out a deep sigh as I mentally crashed under the weight of the work. After listening to those words again and again, my speech changed. It didn’t remove the reality—it completed it beautifully. I began to say, “There’s so much I have to do, and I am so glad that God is here to help me.”
The Bible tells us that it is God who is at work in us, both to will and to do His good pleasure. Every vision I carry, every mission God has placed in my heart—He is here to help me fulfill it. Ahhhh… God is so good!
Your situation may be different, but I am sure of this: for every challenge, there is an answer in God. There truly is. He is good like that. May the Lord open your heart, open your eyes, and grant you peace. Amen.
I’ve had the team edit a video from our gathering using that audio snippet because I want you to experience it with me. Watch it with an open heart. Sing along until you see His goodness surrounding you this year. Surely, may His goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life—in 2026 and beyond. If the video blesses you, share in the comment section so it can bless more people. Enjoy! I love you all. Cheers to more Worship Together this year. ❤️

This was such a beautiful time of worship and I really hope we get more clips too
Thank you, Pastor Jo!
There’s so much to do in 2026 and I’m so so so glad I get to do it with God keeping and guiding and carrying me all the way.
I was there live and I can say that session changed my life. What started out as the most horrible day ended up becoming the best day in 2025, because I attended. And I'm so glad I did, my future self is blessed for it. Perhaps the devil knew that's why he tried so hard but I'm grateful I was able to make it still.
And now it warns my heart that I can akwahs relive the experience. Whosssh!
Pastor Jo, please do we also get access to the pictures?
